Sam has been part of the team since he was just 16, jumping straight in after school and never looking back. Now 24 with a full apprenticeship under his belt and 8 years in the trade, he’s one of those people who can turn his hand to pretty much anything – and will always give it a go. Outside of work, Sam is a lifelong football fan, though these days you’ll find him on the padel court too and his game is coming on fast.
Ben is the newest face on the team, joining us in February this year, and he’s already made his presence felt. At 17, he brings a level of energy that’s given the whole team a lift. Currently working through his apprenticeship at college, Ben plays Rugby League at the weekends and has recently been introduced to padel – watch this space. The future looks bright for this one.
Dayton joined us in 2021 bringing a solid work ethic and a great attitude, having cut his teeth working in kitchens before making the move into the electrical trade. He completed his apprenticeship earlier this year and hasn’t stopped since. When he’s not on the tools, Dayton keeps himself busy with football, the gym, and a bit of trading on the side – and he’s recently discovered padel, so the Friday sessions are right up his street.
I founded Mark Smith Electrical Limited back in 2009 and have been building it ever since. I’m a time-served electrician with roots in the trade going back to 2004, and I still believe in leading from the front. When I’m not working, you’ll find me out running or on my road bike – I cover some serious miles. Padel has also become a big part of life lately, and I made it official by introducing early Friday finishes so the whole team can get on court together. My two kids are my whole world, and that same dedication runs right through everything I do.
